The seniors attended the  "Musiculture" show organised by CNA Pesaro e Urbino at the Raffaello Theatre in Urbino.

Visit to the "Musei Civici" in Pesaro

The Greek seniors visited the "Musei Civici" and "Palazzo Mosca" in Pesaro. Since 1936, Palazzo Mosca has been the seat of the local museum, the Musei Civici. The palazzo is now a property of the city of Pesaro, but it once housed one of the most prominent aristocratic families in the area. The Moscas were rich merchants from Bergamo and they moved to Pesaro around the mid 16th century. They were soon to become members of the local aristocracy, and their fast rise to economic power gave them the chance to build Villa Caprile, a mansion just outside the city centre, and Palazzo Mosca, the building that took their name, in the very heart of Pesaro.

Visit to the natural park of Pesaro

The park faces the Adriatic Sea with a spectacular cliff and it reaches its maximum altitudes on the hills of San Bartolo, Castellaro, and in the villages of Casteldimezzo and Fiorenzuola di Focara. It is an extremely important point for the bird migration and an ideal place for many species of birds which spend the winter here; it is also important from an archaeological and historical point of view, since although it has a limited extension, it is very rich in finds: from the Neolithic finds in the area of Mt. Castellaro to the archaeological site of Colombarone along the ancient Via Flaminia, from the lost ports of Greek origins of S. Marina and Vallugola to the charming system of Renaissance villas and gardens.

Local show from the group "Banca del Tempo"

The SAVIC seniors attended the meeting organised by the association "Banca del tempo" (Time banking). The association is based on voluntary work and  on a pattern of reciprocal service exchange that uses units of time as currency.
The association "Banca del tempo" organized a local show with renaissance dances and pizzica.

Senior volunteers in caring for elders

The Greek seniors visited the "Centro residenziale anziani Santa Colomba (residential centre for elder people) in order to know good practices about the elder's care. They have followed different activities, like for examples the collective reading of the newspapers wich has the aim to stimulate the memory, discussion and critical sense.

Cultural visit to the city of Mondavio

The Greek seniors involved in the SAVIC project have visited the ancient city of Mondavio.

Mondavio is situated on a hilltop 280 mt above sea level with multiple views that go from the Adriatic Sea to the Apennines Mountains.  Its beautiful ancient town center is one of the most well preserved of the whole Marche Region.  
The seniors were welcomed by the Mayor that have exposed the role of the associations and the voluntary work on the territory.
The seniors had the opportunity to visit the Apollo Theatre and the Fortress wearing the traditional clothing of thr Renaissance. They have attended also a workshop on decoration of different types of ceramics with traditional techniques.

Greek seniors in Italy!!

The greek seniors involved in the SAVIC project arrived in Italy to spend 3 weeks on exploring the volunteer activities carried out in the italian communities and sharing good practices. The group was hosted in the Marche Region in the centre Italy. During the mobility the seniors will live in different cities located both on the seaside (Pesaro and Senigallia) and in the mountains (San'Angelo in Vado), to have an overview of the italian way of life.
